This book is the perfect match for you if you are into mystery and adventure. It is about a boy named Roy that moves from Montana to Coconut Cove, Florida. He encounters a strange fast boy that runs around the block with no shoes and ripped clothes. Roy sees him as he is riding his bus to school. The boy has some concerns about a new Mother Paula's Pancake House coming to town and bulldozing an owl community. Roy wants to help this strange boy but is constantly being watched by a strange construction manager and a policeman with his job on the line. In the end, Roy and the strange boy come up with a team with the boy's sister and risk anything to keep the owls in and Mother Paula's out.
