The book Bearstone, written by Will Hobbs was quite the adventure story. from chopping down peach trees to catching fish with bare hands, this book includes it all. this book is about a Ute boy becoming firends with an elderly farmer. At first, they both have trouble with each other, but as they start to relate they form a father-son bond. The two of them decide to take an expedition into the montains. They setup camp and begin mining for gold. Cloyd, the Ute boy, quickly becomes bored and goes off into the mountains. Buring this excursion he comes across a huge bear. Later Cloyd let this secret slip and tells a friend of the old man. Little did Cloyd know this man is a bear hunter. Will this bear hunter be able to track down Cloyd's drteam bear. Cloyd decides to follow this man. After seeing the outcome Cloyd returns to the camp to see his elderly friend trapped and unconcious in the mine. Can Cloyd get help quick enough to save his friend's life? Clearly this book is packed with drama and is a very intriguing read.
