Our Very Own Mrs. Darby Karchut!!!
Alright fellow T-birds, I'm SURE you've heard the buzz, but I want to officially celebrate our very own Mrs. Karchut for the ebook publication of Griffin Rising! The paperback version will be release in late June! You should be lining up around the block at our local Borders to buy this one people! (If you haven't already purchased the ebook that is.) As the librarian at CMJH, to have a real-life author in the building is huge! It's like having Angelina Jolie or Lady Gaga right in our own building! (Extreme analogies? I don't think so!) As a student and citizen of CMJH, you have to read this book, unless you are planning on being in book club next year, in which case you have to wait until school starts because it is going to be our first book of the year. A big congrats and well done to Mrs. Karchut. You are awesome.

Book Review by Cassidy B. : Make Lemonade by Virginna Euwer Wolff
Make Lemonade is the story of LaVaughn who is raising money to go to college. LaVaughn is determined to be the first in her building to earn a college degree. To save money she starts to babysit for 17-year-old mom Jolly who has dropped out of high school and has no family to back her up. LaVaughn babysits Jeremy and Jilly who have different fathers both of whom have left Jolly. This is a story about struggle and determination and I would highly reccomend it to anyone.
Review by Grace V. : The Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer
The Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer is a fun read full of action and adventure. The Sea of Trolls is about a boy named Jack and his sister Lucy. Jack becomes a magician's apprentice. Jack and Lucy are kidnapped by northmen and meet an ugly half troll. Jack goes on an adventure to free himself and his sister. On the way he battles dragons and meets trolls before returning and freeing himself and Lucy, and then returning home to his parents and the magician. The Sea of Trolls is a very good read.
